Stolen!

So my eBay account was stolen and used to try to buy a whole bunch of farm equipment. Weird!

I have a great idea for my promotional leave-behind but it's doing to be a lot of work. I'm going to do a small calendar. So that's 12 different compositions which is a bit ambitious, but I really like the idea, so I we'll see how far I get.

Halloween! I wish I had time for a costume!

The Domes

Currently, however I am stuck in class gesso-ing a bunch of panels and cleaning out my studio. In cleaning so far I have broken one cup (my favorite), found a pair of pants, and found several homework assignments that I "just didn't receive, honest!" I should probably clean more often and post pictures of cactus' a lot less.

Ireland Exhibition!

The gallery exhibition was really fun tonight! A lot of people came and there was also free food and wine! Sweet! Apparently MIAD is a wet campus now! Either way, Tom Noffsinger said that he really enjoyed my pieces, and that is a good thing!

Today I also picked up a new phone. I gave them a lot of sass, which I'm sorry, but really! I qualified for the rebate, but they couldn't give it to me because my mom wasn't there, but she lives 650 miles away, however her signature is required, and it's real inconvenient for them, etc. etc. Eventually I got my phone after much stink raised. I asked them to add my old phone book to my new phone, but "That Location" couldn't do it so I just left. Enough of them! So now I have an empty phone. It does have Bluetooth, but I cannot figure out how to download more than one number from my mac to my phone!! I thought mac's were able to handle everything, but perhaps I was wrong. Does anyone have any experience with Bluetooth?

Close up!

I took this photo for my mom to see my dress for my cousin's wedding and now that I'm looking at it, it's TOTALLY myspace. I am such a trendsetter!

I've found a new addiction: Sock Dreams. I've already spent a pretty penny here, and if anyone needs a quick X-Mas present, well, know you know where to go. I love pretty much every sock I've seen here. It's glorious!

Mark and I went to see the Scarring Party yesterday evening at Mad Planet. They were fun to watch, but they were so quiet! You couldn't here them above the talking in the bar, so that was a bummer. We did see Kyle, my boss there, which was pretty nice. After we left, we both got crummy headaches so we just went home and fell asleep. What a bunch of party animals!

Weddings

There are too many weddings going on. But at least I get cute shoes out of them:

I bought these shoes at Famous Footwear and they match my dress in both color and era. Not only that but they are relatively comfy! Exciting!

Yesterday I had one of the Worst Migraines Ever. I have a little lingering head ache today, but I woke up in pretty good spirits, feeling better than I have in about 3 weeks. I've been feeling a little "off" in that I am always either tired or sick.

I also need to make more sweet mula for christmas presents and to counter-act every stupid parking ticket I get. Jeez!

Clearly.

Another week and only about four more to go. I am very ready for this semester to be over, but before it does end I have a thousand things that need to be done/started/wrapped up. I have wanted to graduate for four years now, and I'm still excited but lately I'm having this want to stay a student forever. And I have constant butterflies. Any time anyone says "Thesis" I feel that swooping in my stomach.

On a happier note, everyone is planning some big trip for after school. Europe seems like the most popular choice, and Bonnaroo is coming in at a close second. Unfortunately I probably can't afford to do both, but would be glad doing either or, just the same.

Recipes and Winter Break

I am real ready for winter break. Actually, I'm real ready for this:

But besides me illustrating about summer, I'm quite sick of illustrating! So when did I pick it as my livelyhood? Good work, Anne.

Some good news is, Lisa is coming into town. ALSO Mark and I created these WONDERFUL.....bread pieces. First, we fried some bread dough, and then we sprinkled mozarrella, cheddar, italian spices and garlic on them, then a nice toast to melt it all together. And they fit in the palm of your hand, which is very bite-size and convenient. They are wonderful, but we don't know what to call them or what even is similar that we've seen. They are pretty tasty and we are making a ton of them to bring to Richie's on Wednesday. I hope everyone enjoys!

Thanksgiving down, Christmas to go.

Holy crap. There are only three weeks of the semester left. As this isn't necessarily a bad thing, it is definitely one of the only semesters that have left me wishing that there were a couple more weeks tagged on to the end in order to wrap things up. And now that I'm thinking about how little time I have, I am realizing that I have SO MUCH to do. I just need to create a gigantic list of end-of-semester tasks. Because that will get them done faster. Hah.

I did happen to get all of my Christmas shopping done, except for Mark and I managed to keep it under $100. I've also been working a lot at Famous Footwear, so I should have some sweet mula rolling in.

Mark and I did put up some Christmas lights and they do look real festive. We're trying to get a tree but; 1) where to put it? and 2) What goes on it? How do people acquire a fully ornamented tree? Is it a process or do most buy a starter kit or what?

On another slightly more depressing note, I pre-ordered the new Incubus CD so I could also pre-order concert tickets. They are playing in a small venue in Chicago, so I wanted to be sure to get the tickets right away. When I went to buy said tickets with my special promotional code, there were none available!! Already? I really like this band, but are they really that popular? Hopefully there were some saved for the real sale, so maybe I'll check back on Dec. 2. POO!
